I am so lucky that I have so much friend.  Just recently, I had a family crisis.  My dad need an immediate operation due to his kidney stones. In the Philippines there is no medical insurance or if you do you have a full time job with one of the best companies. So It means my dad or any member of my family have medical insurance, so if something happened, like some one needs stitches the money is coming out of your own pocket.  During the time that my dad need the procedure done, I don’t have any money at all.  Me and my husband just purchase a house that cost so much money every month.  On top of that the regular billing, our insurance gone up because we move to the city.

Any way, I am push up to the wall, I don’t have any credit card because I consolidated all in one bill to cut cost.  I’m thinking so much during those times.  I told my husband to go ask for help with his family, but I guess it’s not really an option during the time.

Then out of the blue my friend Mila, asked me how much money do I need for the operation.  I told her it will cost $3,000.  She told me she will lend me the money without interest.  I was so shock and thankful at the same time.  I know they need money too, because they have 2 two-year old kids that need so much of everything.  Milk, diapers and so on.

But thinking how far a friend go to help another friend is undeniable.  I know I have not so much to offer but if my friend needs help I am there, just not the money part for now.  I guess maybe in the near future when I am more financially stable, but when they need someone’s shoulder to cry on; mine is very wide.  I have good listening ears and mouth that could say things that sometimes you don’t want to hear but it’s true.

To all my friends I guess you know who you all are.  Thank you very much for your undying friendship and love.  I’m always here for you any time and any where.

I came November 15,2001…. sa Pinas ang weather good kasi di cold di hot… just right because it’s almost Christmas… When the plane landed, I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and a denim jacket with denim pants.. I meet my husband-to-be at the baggage section, you know what happened, okay kung sa romantic na mga mata, ganto ang nangyari… Nakita ko sya sa ibaba ng escalator then he hugged me so tight and kissed me so passionately, anyhow, as soon as I got out of the airport the wind blows and guess what I almost died because it was soooooo cold that I haven’t experience that kind of coldness…. As soon as we got in to the car, everything is dandy,

Weather is one of the inconveniences… specially that I am in Massachusetts… very unpredictable weather conditions almost everyday. Just for example toady, it’s spring time, we suppose to have nicer weather but to no avail the heaven is crying so hard and pouring so much rain.

Hugging- when you are meeting people or family members for the first time you suppose to give them a hug… when you do that sa ating mga baryo baka akalain ng mga tao eh pukpukin ka… ano ba yan.

Language - sometimes the pronunciation is so different and accent plays a lot of roles in communicating also.

Alam mo ba kung gano kasimple ang buhay…. dito sa america, di simple…. una sa lahat

CAR: you need car everywhere, in Philippines there’s public transportation everywhere.

INSURANCE: your car need insurance, so as your house and yourself (this is optional) in the Philippines, sometime no license you can still drive.

Sometimes when I talk to my sisters who are still in the Philippines, they thought life in US is really easy, I know it is very convenient and all but sometimes we forgot the simple pleasures in life.  Just like tsismisan(chitchat) you cannot find it here unless you are going to a shrink.

At 8pm on the 29 March 2008 millions of people in some of the world’s major cities used the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.  watch this video and tell me what you think?

Are we ready for global warming, what is your stand… are you scared?
