The next Michael Jackson???
Author: Cecille
His name is David Militello. Very impressive how he can hit the high notes of the song “Ben” by Michael Jackson. I won’t be surprise if he turns out to be the next MJ, at such young age with a voice like that it’s a real blessing.

Her name is Busty Heart. I guess her name really tells it all. It’s amazing what she can do with those pair of breast! Now I kinda want to really have fake boobs so I can try another talent that I could possibly have. Well men beat this!
BFF???
Author: Cecille
When do you consider your friend as your best friend???? Is it when you feel like to told him/her all of your secrets or is it when you know him/her for so many years that you almost grew up together?
How do you gauge a friend? Is there a bunch of questions that if they fail you would say “Oh! you failed so I guess you can’t be my best friend” Or is it a test of time or test of some very difficult times that will reveal to you that you can count on them no matter how shitty the situation is?
I guess there are some friends that considers you a friend if it’s convenient for them, there is also some friends that only need you because they feel alone. AND there’s also some friends that you only see when it’s party time.
Sometimes I don’t know how to tell if I have a friend or a foe. I guess I am so naive that I could just have someone smile and talk to me for a while and I would consider them as a friend. But best friends are very difficult for me to decide, because I already made a mistake of pouring my heart out to one person and I just learned that she didn’t feel that we are really friends.
Don’t let someone fool you because it happened to me!
Friends or foe???

Have you ever connect to a friend? I mean real connection, did you ever felt that you are sisters or brothers with different mothers. All you wanted everyday was to be with them, and talk to them, laugh with them, do a little shopping or just gossip..
I have an experience that tore my heart so bad. 2006 I met this girl through an acquaintance, first day we met we are a hit, because we are not too old or young apart, we share something in common, we have american husband, and we basically go through the same immigration process that sometimes really frustrating.
During those times I work as a manager, I am not responsible for so many things, so every time I am out of the restaurant I am free to do anything with what time I have in my hands. She calls me or I call her, we set up something to do almost every week that we are friends. We go to this mall, we go to this store, we eat, well,, she cooks and I just eat… LOL, I am not a big kitchen guru but I know my way around. But she is so awesome in the kitchen… great cook!
We are so happy and then she got pregnant. I am excited and she is too. So she went through the pregnancy and gave birth to a baby boy. Very very cute kid, I love babies but I have none at the moment. Any ways, she had a caesarean operation and I have a lot of questions about body changes, especially with her because she is my friend and we have the same physique. I ask how was it done, was it painful, she showed me her scars and I am like AWWWWW!!!! I feel so bad.
And then I ask if her boobs change, does it sag or is it the same way. Not knowingly that she doesn’t like this kind of topic, I kept on asking and she didn’t tell me that she is already offended for what I am asking her. She went on being mad and not telling a darn thing in my face, so I thought everything is cool.
Then I got the promotion to be GM, this time more time needed and more responsibility, so I am not as free as I was before, I forgot who called last or who didn’t return calls. Anyways, I thought she was just busy with the baby and I am way busy with my job, I still think that we are cool.
Then July 2007, my husband and I bought a lovely home in Worcester, we set up a house warming party and I wanted all my friends to be there. I called her up and her husband answered, I ask how he is doing and how is the baby, he said everything is fine. Then she called my friend to talk to me, I blurted a joke, by saying how are you??? are you pregnant again??? Then she became so mad and just start blabbing about how I am so weird in the head because I am asking this kind of questions with boobs and stuff.
I got caught off guard and told her I was just kidding, and I am the way that I am especially with my close friends and families. Then she just drop the bomb… she said “WE ARE NOT THAT CLOSE” I mean I thought we have something really specially but I guess I am mislead and just blinded by the fact that we are not even friends….
I am so devastated and told her, how sorry I am and I didn’t know that she is sensitive about it, and promise not to do it again. You know what she told me….. “JUST KEEP ON TELLING EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED ALMOST FOUR MONTHS AGO AND DIDN’T EVEN ACCEPT MY APOLOGY” So I told her, we cannot continue of being friends, or are we even friends??? If you cannot accept my apology just forget that you met me or knew me at all…… I told her, I am hanging up because I can’t keep my tears from falling down. As soon as I hang up the phone, I just started crying and crying, I regret the days that I wasted and the time that I felt I was a friend of her.
The thing is filipino community is very small and almost every one knows every body, so every time there is a party every one is invited and we usually got invited together, but for almost two years we haven’t say a word to each other. I miss the boy she have, too bad can’t be too close. We saw each other in one of the kids parties, I saw the little boy and hugged him and told him how I miss him, then it’s time for them to leave, I was holding the boy while she is getting the car ready for them, then she just took the kid in my hands without saying a darn word!!! I feel like an idiot!
Now my husband just make a very awkward gesture last party that we are both in. He pull my hands towards her and told the two of us how silly it is, I got so upset and just walk away. Then she told one of my friends that I should go to her house and met with her, I was like….. why through you not directly to me… I guess, right now, I am very happy with the amount of friends that I have, maybe I will make amends and be civil but I can’t promise to be more than that. What do you think????
America- land of milk and honey????
Author: Cecille
If you go to the Philippines, almost everyone wanted to go to US. They’re reason ” it’s the land of milk and honey” I’ve been in US for almost 7 years, the milk and honey i haven’t tasted I guess.
Well, there are so many things that is so great in the US, (1) every one has opportunity to do good, (2) you can drive a car and not be so rich (3) so can have beef and fresh fruits everyday.
But they don’t know how hard it is to live here. There are so many bills, water, electric, mortgage, phones, cable, auto insurance, house insurance, health insurance if you don’t have a job you are screwed. Oh and yeah CREDIT card bills, It’s so easy to be in debt here, because almost everyone give you a credit card.
I never use a credit card until I got here, and if you don’t have a credit card your credit score is not good either. So you have to have one and you have to use it. GREAT! so now I am in DEBT!
I wanted to get out of debt and be normal like you would have a little bit of money and all is well. I guess in US you never feel that you are financially stable unless you retire or some retired people still work. So in here all you have to do is work and work but no money being left in your pocket it all goes to creditors.
I don’t know what to do if someone can just gave me 20 grand I guess that only thing I need to do is pay my mortgage. Well just wishful thinking.
How do you know if you are in a filipino party?
Author: Cecille
(1)Lots of food!!!! I know you like some of our dishes and I know you like to just look at it and some may tell you to try some pork blood or some pig’s feet or some chicken insides. But never forget the RICE and the PANCIT and the EGG ROLL or we usually call it lumpia. Just take a look at this party they have so much food and they have pig roast… yum yum yum or lechon in our language
(2) Entertainment to the max… Of course karaoke is present in any kind of filipino parties. Like this one you can see that everybody’s having a good time, whether they are singing or dancing or just plain watching how can people belted out some loud notes, to tell you the truth I am not a good singer but just for fun it’s really cool. You can buy this karaoke machines at www.sumakaya.com Look at this singers.
(3) Lots of booze and drunk people. Take a look at these guys.
(4) What else you would find in a filipino party??? well I guess people having a good time with their friends and families. You should join one party sometime, especially that social season is up. Just bring the tequila and we will have a good time.
Very awkward

When I decided to live in the US, I only pack one whole luggage. You know why because I am so excited to get some new clothes well you know if it’s made in US is really cool (estateside ba) I only brought two pairs of shoes, one is for my wedding day and another that I am wearing coming here. I brought 2 pair of pants, 10 shirts, 6 panties and 4 brassiere. So my luggage is not that heavy because I don’t know what are the rules about baggage, mind you it’s my first time to fly. OMG! i am so scared to death. Good thing I was sitting with 2 filipino guys that was suppose to go to Saudi Arabia.
So any ways, I didn’t bring much clothes for me. First trip to the mall, my husband said “We’re going to the mall” you know me I am so excited “”Whoopi doo”" I can actually get new clothes and new shoes and new everything.
We went to Greendale mall, and I said to myself is this really your mall. Well, it’s 10 times smaller where I cam from, and I was looking for people, no one in there maybe 10-15 tops. So we went to try on some shoes… I was so disappointed because nothing fits me in the ladies section, I had to go and try on the kids section mind you I found size 2 1/2 in kids fits me perfectly. The problem is it has glitters and some sort of design that you would know it’s for a kid. Got no choice but get that one. Happy me now.
Next stop we went and look for pants. Went to the ladies, it’s either too long for my short little legs or to big for my little hips. So we tried to go to the kids section again and Alas! size 12 it is, fits me perfectly on legs butt and hips. Now you know I got not much for a butt.LOL. Got no problem with pants even thought there some flowers on it and really girly. Like it so much. I am 32 so I could pass for 10 f they see my pants. LOL
Next one is brassiere, I got none of those bumpy bumpy bump in the front you know. So I look and I look almost all the brassiere fits my head. Sadly I got some in the girls section again of course. I just ask myself why bother looking for those sexy lingerie if I could have pokemon or curious george for panty and brassiere. Well as long as it is covered and I don’t need to take my shirt off I am good to go.
Sometimes it’s so frustrating shopping for clothes or shoes or just anything. I feel so awkward that I have to wear little girls clothes if I am so old. I hope no one thinks that I am trying to be young again, believe me I want to be considered sexy, but I guess wearing those clothes will make me young forever.
Bridal Shower - what to expect?
Author: Cecille
First I’d like to tell you what I learn about bridal shower.
this is from a web site Bellmansion
Origin of Bridal Showers
“The bridal shower is a custom that came about when a father disapproved of his daughter’s marriage and refused to provide a dowry to the couple. The shower became the alternative to the dowry. Supportive villagers would assemble and provide the bride a variety of household items for her new home.
Bridal showers were meant to strengthen the ties between the bride and her friends, provide her moral support, and help her prepare for her marriage. Gift giving dates from the 1890’s.”
So basically this started when a young Dutch woman wanted to marry another guy than her father wishes her to marry, and every one in the town contribute or bring gifts that would amounted to her dowry.
Well, where I came from, Philippines, we don’t have any bridal shower. I guess or maybe in the upper class there is, but in my class, well, that would be from the middle down to the poverty line, we never had any. You know why I know these, because I had soooo many friends that got married and no one no one throws any bridal shower.
I first heard of the term bridal shower when I got invited in my husband’s cousin (Joe and Kathy) who’s got married 2 years ago. I didn’t attend due to my work schedule. I wish I went so I would know what to expect, because I am being invited on another bridal shower. Well the one’s I’ve seen on TV shows or movies, They hire stripper guys??? I don’t know if this is the same or is it what it was originally described.
I got the invite and the registration on bed bad and beyond or linen N things. Well I will tell you if I enjoyed it or is it the one I am expecting to experience.
