Virtual Sex
Author: Cecille
I was browsing the we when I bumped into some link about the virtual sex. I don’t know if you would agree with this. Would you like to walk in the room and saw your husband doing this or vise versa? What is the point of doing it virtually isn’t the best part is the touching, affection and feeling loved when you are having sex? This is one of the stories in there… if you wanted to read more just go to the bottom and click on the link.
“I was having sex with a Dutch girl when my wife walked in. “What do you think about this?” I asked.
“Um,” she said. “It’s a little weird.”
The Dutch girl wasn’t real. Well, not really real? She was an avatar in Second Life, the online, 3D, digital world developed by San Francisco company Linden Labs. But there was a real person on a computer somewhere in the world making her avatar have sex with my avatar by clicking a pink ball on the ground. I don’t know where the real user was located, but our virtual meeting space within Second Life was called “The Netherlands.” Or maybe “she” was really a he, controlling a female avatar. Impossible to say for sure.
If it’s not clear already, “virtual sex” can be a little complicated.”

Author: Cecille
Well there’s 9 more days and summer is here. SUMMER here is so different from summer where I came from. Summer here only lasted for 104 days, Philippines is almost half of the year is summer cool huh?
What do we do here in US of A to prepare for the summer:
(1) We look for our sandals, slippers because they are in for a treat.
(2) Looking through the closet and hoping to find that the bathing suit from last year still fits and still in fashion.
(3) Tank tops and shorts need to pull those out of the closet too.
(4) Shop for sunscreen lotion, coppertone as we prefer and all the glittery lotions or make up that we could find.
(5) Clean the pool if you have one if you don’t have one buy one at Walmart for $19.99 so you can soak up to your knee.
(6) Camping is on also, shop around for sites that are still available and if you could squeeze it in your schedule.
(7) Vacations vacations.. almost all the people here is looking to go to the beach and get some TAN, i guess I am IN also.
(8) Shop for food…. watermelon is on, cantalope, corn on the cob, kabobs( steak on sticks), anything that is good for cook out, Hot dog and hamburger is the number one food that will be consumed. So if you are invited to one summer party you’ve been to all of them.
I guess my list is complete. The thing is I already do all these things almost everyday where I was from. I guess you never really know the importance of pleasure until you see most of the people going crazy for the good weather to come. I am being one of them too, sadly simple things that I used to enjoy for free is costing me a fortune.
Missing home
Author: Cecille
Today is June 10th of 2008, I set foot in United States of America last November 15, 2001 since then I didn’t have the chance to come back and visit. It’s very sad and frustrating because I have not seen my mother, brother, sisters and all of nephews and nieces. I miss them all so much that I just told myself, “Tomorrow is the day that I will be back” The thing is I am not lying but it’s a promise that one day I will be back.
I have been separated with my entire family, friends and acquaintances. Been separated with everything that I know since childhood, separated from the roots that I came from. But it’s all my choice nobody needs to be blamed for everything that I am missing now. I know it’s kind of crazy but being here is also a great sacrifice. I am sacrificing everything for my own happiness to be with the person that I am in love and wanted to build a family with. Isn’t wrong for me to sacrifice and get something out of it, in any sense it’s not sacrifice for me but some people or most of the people I know think that it’s a huge sacrifice to leave everything behind.
I still missed everything that I used to do; my mother, brother, sisters, all my loved ones and all of my friends.
Tomorrow will come and we will once again remember all the things that we shared. And hopefully you will know how much I LOVE everyone of you. Tomorrow is the day that i will be coming home, if it’s not today, there will be another tomorrow.
Tired
Author: Cecille
Just got home from work, already tired as it is, but I still need to do laundry, dishes and some other house chores. When do you think work is done? I think it doesn’t end even though you already work a full day. Some times it make me wonder why we have to work? Why we have to do things that we don’t want to do. I am tired and I am still working.
I hope tomorrow i will win some sort of money, or I hope tomorrow someone will say, you don’t need to work you already work a whole day, just rest-relax-and see a movie. That would be so sweet.
But reality is it needs to be done, someone has to do it and that someone for this moment is ME. I don’t know if I am complaining, but I guess I am. Sorry. I guess I need a new out look in life. ” If you want to make your life easy, start making it hard”, I guess this is the best saying I ever heard of.
Got to go just checking in lots of work to do still and my eyes are already closing.
Pinoy Trivia
Author: Cecille
This is from this web site www.bangusresto.com
To Pinoy kids, everyone is either a Lolo or a Lola, a Tito or a Tita, a Kuya or an Ate even complete strangers! All equally entitled to a “mano.”
The so-called King of The Road comes in various permutations. Some can barely accommodate eight passengers while some are humongous enough to seat 24 people! Some are so old and rickety you half-expect the body to break in half as it hits the next pothole while some are so sleek and flashy they look like they rolled out of a sci-fi film. Some offer no other entertainment apart from the view of your co-passengers sleeping while others are decked with eardrum-busting stereos and even mini-TV’s that show your favorite soap. |
Whatever its seating capacity or amenities, though, you can count on the jeepney to be painted with the most riotous colors ever mixed and decorated with the gaudiest trinkets known to man. It’s this festive appearance that has, in fact, made the jeepney internationally famous. Just like Bangus Restaurant, you really can’t get any more Pinoy than the jeep.
And while there have been many calls to send the loud and unsafe-looking jeepney into retirement, you can bet this fiesta-on-wheels will be happily plying the streets for a long, long time.
Pinoys are not only courteous, they are probably the most hospitable people in the planet. Where else on earth is a visitor treated like a king? Even though he may not have much for himself, the Pinoy bends over backwards to give his visitor the best of what he has. As soon as a visitor appears at his door, he immediately whips out the best tablecloth, trundles out the best china and silverware, and sets out putting together the best meal. If his guest is staying overnight, he settles him in the best bedroom in the house, gives him the best bed covers, the best sheets and the best towels. Really, is there a nicer place in the world? |
Exhausted!
Author: Cecille
Me and my husband use to live in an apartment for 5 years, last year beginning of July we purchase or should I say we borrowed the house from the bank. Did you know what I just learned by having your own house. Well let me tell you what are the things that some folks probably not aware of.
First you have to know what is the trash day and recycle day, in an apartment complex you don’t need to know those things because there is a big dumpster in the vicinity that you can throw your trash no matter how big they are. We had a very great summer, lots of parties, lots of companies lots of fun. Then came fall.
Second thing you need to learn is that you are raking the whole front and back yard. OMG!! so much leaves, we have a 11 total trees and I mean trees that really have very heavy leaves and tons of them. Of course we just bought the house so we don’t have any kind of equipment but we have rakes. We rake and rake, I had my friends come over and help me with the raking because there is soooo much leaves.
Third you are going to shovel your own snow. OMG! last winter there is so much snow so much that you wanted to build an icicle palace. Knowing that we just bought a house we don’t have any snow blower but we do have 2 shovels. You shovel and you shovel then the plow truck just came by just to built a big wall in front of your drive way and you have to use all your might and strength to get all those snow out of the way or else you are buried. Isn’t it that they cause so much inconvenience, I just wanted to tell them, get back here you mother gooses and get your stinking snow back where they belong as long as it’s not in front of my drive way. So any ways, I shoveled and my! my! my back is so painful I am sweating even though it’s zero degrees outside, as soon as I got inside the house I am completely dead. My husband shoveled more than I do and I am the one that is completely wiped out.
Fourth spring season just begun, and there’s still leaves that was left behind fall time that got buried in the snow, so when I am raking, the leaves are heavier than usual/ I had to dig down to get all the leaves that got stuck because they are wet. I did this for almost 2 hours after that I am doomed. I had to work the next day so I mean I cannot even do the things that I am usually doing at work. I do more physical labor because I work at a pizza place Papa Gino’s. I did all the raking but still not done, OMG when this will end. I know I should hire someone but no dice tapped out on money because of all the extra expenses that we had to pay that we never had to pay when we lived in the apartment.
I know this sounded like a complained but owning a house just sucks so bad right now. I am physically exhausted, mentally drained and financially super unstable. We work so hard but didn’t really enjoy the fruit of our labor. Maybe I am over looking or just expecting too much out of life.
How far you will go to help a friend in need?
Author: Cecille
I am so lucky that I have so much friend. Just recently, I had a family crisis. My dad need an immediate operation due to his kidney stones. In the Philippines there is no medical insurance or if you do you have a full time job with one of the best companies. So It means my dad or any member of my family have medical insurance, so if something happened, like some one needs stitches the money is coming out of your own pocket. During the time that my dad need the procedure done, I don’t have any money at all. Me and my husband just purchase a house that cost so much money every month. On top of that the regular billing, our insurance gone up because we move to the city.
Any way, I am push up to the wall, I don’t have any credit card because I consolidated all in one bill to cut cost. I’m thinking so much during those times. I told my husband to go ask for help with his family, but I guess it’s not really an option during the time.
Then out of the blue my friend Mila, asked me how much money do I need for the operation. I told her it will cost $3,000. She told me she will lend me the money without interest. I was so shock and thankful at the same time. I know they need money too, because they have 2 two-year old kids that need so much of everything. Milk, diapers and so on.
But thinking how far a friend go to help another friend is undeniable. I know I have not so much to offer but if my friend needs help I am there, just not the money part for now. I guess maybe in the near future when I am more financially stable, but when they need someone’s shoulder to cry on; mine is very wide. I have good listening ears and mouth that could say things that sometimes you don’t want to hear but it’s true.
To all my friends I guess you know who you all are. Thank you very much for your undying friendship and love. I’m always here for you any time and any where.
OFW are we included?
Author: Cecille
This video is nicely made by Ercof Philippines (nonprofit organization)
It just shows how OFW’s could be successful if they use their money wisely. I’ve been in the US for 6 almost 7 years, I haven’t returned yet due to some financial crisis. But I call and sometimes talk in instant messages just to keep the communications open. Do you feel like you are being robbed of your culture when you go overseas.. everyone has different reasons why we left home. What’s yours?
Filipino Party
Author: Cecille
One of the things that you could expect in any Filipino parties are as follows:
FOOD—- Lots of them, different dishes and all different color.. especially adobo, dinuguan, apritada, sinigang, lumpia(they call it egg roll) pancit, puto, and don’t forget the most important food of all food chain RICE.
ENTERTAINMENT– Karaoke is always present, everybody knows how to sing and sing along.. specially when everyone has a drink or two. You will see them sings they heart out like there would be tomorrow… which is a good thing because we use it as therapy… the more you shout and feel the beat of songs you can relate with your personal life.
TSISMISAN - chit chat… women gather around and starts talking who’s with who, what is what doing now, why is why making that move, how is how could it be…. great gossip I bet E! news doesn’t even know what the latest scoop of all.
if you haven’t attend one party you should call your filipino friend and tell them you are interested in going to the next party.
Filipino vs Fil-Am?????
Author: Cecille
I watch this video and I realize something… it’s the same exact thing that is happening in the Philippines. Everybody thinks we are the greatest people in the world, but when we are put in the same place feud starts. Why can’t we get along? Is it the dialect variations? Is it the “talangka mentalitty”? or is it just “ENVY”???
I can’t understand, we are the same ethnic group and yet we cannot get along. I have a friend that didn’t like the way I joke about things “very green-minded” kasi ako eh. So she decided not to talk to me and pretend that we never met and will never will. The saddest part is I really like to be friends with her, but I guess the damage is done.
So anyways, I don’t understand with the new generations, speaking or not speaking Tagalog they still can’t get along. Are we bringing our differences in foreign soil???
